Pardon me, but have any of you seen my January? I know I left it around here somewhere…
Happy February 4th! Do you know what you’re getting your honey for Valentine’s Day? Well, I know what you can be doing… the BDSM-a-palooza is from Feb 17th to the 19th at the Smutketeers! I’m participating with 50 other fabulous authors and the amazing ladies of the Smutketeers – there will be daily prizes, a grand prize with gifts from all of us, and more fun than you can shake a whip at.
And then, if that’s not enough, the Nice Girls Writing Naughty will be hosting a very special event –
Fantasy Date Night with the Nice Girls and their friends, Feb 21st, on our Facebook group from 6:00p to 11:00p Eastern Standard Time.
As for me, your Aunt Noony has been busy busy busy. Sadly, not on my blogs; I don’t have posts for you this week. But I do have a free workshop, and I’d love for you to come play with me!
I’m teaching a free workshop all during the month of February. Here’s a bit more info:
Too often, writers assume that creativity is a matter of luck or rare talent. But author A. Catherine Noon shows us that each of us can write and unleash our inner creativity. In a one-month online workshop that draws on exercises and games, Catherine helps us identify the core values and strategies that will help us tap into our own creative potential, whether we’re “serious authors” or just writers who enjoy the written word. It is a workshop that will help each of us be more productive and successful with our writing and to sustain our creative output.
You need to be a member of CTR to participate, but it’s free. Here’s the link so you can join us.
Other than that, it’s been work work work. Rachel and I just finished the edits for Emerald Keep and sent them back to our amazing editor at Torquere Press. The book is out on April 8th, so keep your eyes peeled. We are finishing the final pre-submission edits on a sequel in the Sealed Series and made a deal for Book 3 of Chicagoland Shifters, so keep your eyes peeled for that.
For those of you in the Chicagoland area, I hope you’ll consider coming to the Writer Zen Garden Prompt Circle. We meet every other Saturday on the north side of the city; plenty of on-street free parking and transit accessible. More info on the Meetup, here. Next one is this Saturday, Feb 7th.
Author Tina Holland is coming to town! She’ll be presenting her famous F.E.A.R.S. workshop for Writer Zen Garden on Saturday, March 14th from 10-4. It’s only $20 to attend (I’m going to cover her travel costs from Fargo, ND). More info here. F.E.A.R.S. stands for Finish, Edit, Analyze, Research, and Submit – it’s a great workshop for anyone looking to publish their work. Tina’s been in the industry for a long time and has ten books to her name. She’s a fount of knowledge on the process and will help you feel confident in the process of taking your book to market.
April brings with it the A-Z Blog Challenge, and I’ve talked my Nice Girl buds into playing with me – so you can point your browser right here all during the month of April. If you’re a blogger, and plan to participate, let me know in the comments and I’ll give you a shout-out. If you have no clue what I’m talking about but want to play, here’s more info. April is ALSO Camp Nano, so those of you writers out there had better take some finger yoga ’cause it’s gonna be a bizzy month!
